Christine and Rob – Allegria Hotel – Long Beach, NY

0 0

I met Rob and Christine in early 2010 and shot their engagement session in central park, November  of 2010. So when July of 2012 came around it felt like really long while since I last saw them.  THey are both English High School teachers, they love books and even had quotes from several of their favorite ones on several tables.  They also created  these awesome  table cards which were made with old school book return cards, the best part on the card was the due date was their wedding date. They got married on July 3, 2012 with a reception at the  Allegria hotel in Long Beach, we had a beach to shoot, a fire truck and well now I am going to just ask you to check out this beautiful wedding. More details to follow

Some details from Christine and Rob about their wedding day:

1. What was your favorite part of the wedding?“It’s very hard to explain in words, but I loved feeling the importance of the day itself.  Each anticipated moment and the gathering of so many loving and supportive people showed me the power and significance of two people getting married.  Rob really enjoyed both the car ride over to the Allegria–a quiet moment of reflection with his new bride–and listening to all of the heartfelt and funny speeches made in our honor.  “

“We seem to be all about the juxtaposition of opposites.  Being from Long Island has given us the flexibility to be total Manhattanites AND beach bums at the same time.  We have a homemade driftwood sign in our apartment that says “Manhattan to Montauk 124.5 miles,” and we always seem to find a way to feel like we’re in both places at the same time.  The Allegria afforded us the opportunity to see the NYC skyline at sunset right after we dipped our toes in the ocean and brushed off the sand.  Even more importantly, Rob and I respect tradition, so while we were able to party at a modern beach resort, we preserved our faith and wedding customs at our tightly-knit church back at home.  The smaller details–the family pictures, the quotes for the tables, the table names–were all ideas I gathered from friends’ weddings, conversations with my girls at school, or late night Pinterest quests.  I considered my “something borrowed” all of the borrowed ideas for special touches that included people, places, and words that have helped shape Rob and I as a couple.” – Rob & Christine

These next couple of photos of the Groom Rob, were taken by my awesome 2nd Photographer Alison Nichols. Which I can’t say enough what an awesome photographer she is, she has been 2nd shooting with me for 3 years. Another great reason to have a second photographer at your wedding to get that extra creative perspective on your wedding day.
