How we met:  Despite having a bunch of mutual friends, we actually didn’t meet until the spring of our senior year at Notre Dame.  We hung out a few times toward the end of senior year, but went our separate ways at graduation.  It wasn’t until our first football season as alumni that we began to hang out more.  Tim was living in Chicago and would drive the 2 hours down to South Bend for every home game.  Mary was living in Nashville and would drive the 8 hours up to South Bend for every home game (slightly more driving time, but totally worth it).  After football season ended, we continued to talk often and knew we wanted to give a relationship a shot.  We did long distance from Chicago to Nashville for a year and a half. When Mary finished grad school at Vanderbilt, she accepted a teaching job in Chicago and we’ve been living there ever since.”

Our favorite moment of the day: The ceremony at Maria Regina was absolutely beautiful.  Our favorite part was walking down the aisle, both times! Seeing each other for the first time was such a special moment that definitely took away any anxiety we felt earlier that morning. Walking out of the church was just as amazing. We were both so happy and at peace and ready to start our lives together.

From the ceremony to the awesome cocktail hour to the reception where legitimately no one left the dance floor, the day was perfect.  The Old Field Club was stunning, and we couldn’t have asked for nicer weather. I think the highest compliments came from our friends and family after the day, telling us how much fun they had and what a beautiful wedding it was. We can’t thank Laura enough for helping to make this day go smoothly and capturing such beautiful moments.  She was a joy to work with and we will always appreciate the wonderful photos she was able to provide us with.”
