So Tammy and I go a while back, back to Wantagh High school where we were in all the drama productions together in 1996. She was a Sophmore and I was a Senior. At that point in my life most of my friends were underclassmen well because I just I just really didn’t dig my graduating class. I always found the Sophmore class to be so much cooler than the seniors.
Tammy remembers my first car … a 1971 Buick Duster or I call the death Trap.. Because literally I lost breaks not onces but twice. I also used to flood the engine all the time and had to start it up by placing a screwdriver in the engine.. I am telling you this car was awesome… Tammy played drums in high school and we always got along and she is sooo funny. Well we lost touch.. fast forward 2009 ish I run into her at Starbucks during a client meeting, we exchange “hello’s” and become facebook friends. Fast forward 2011, to a month ago, I am at another client meeting, this time Tammy is like ” Hey and I am engaged!” we set up a engagement shoot at their favorite location in Long Island City- Gantry Park. I love Tammy and Alek’s fun style, and the fact we got the awesome Pepsi sign in the background. Alek and Tammy have a awesome story about how they met… they met on a bus trip down to DC they both knew a mutual friend by chance, things do happen for a reason and they both have great chemistry!
Enjoy the pics!!
supah dupah cute! LOVE the angle on that pepsi cola one, and the groucho marx glasses? too fun!
Engagement photos set in Long Island City have been popping up everywhere! The industrial backdrop creates such a beautiful setting for these shots. The iconic Pepsi sign is one of our favorite parts of LIC–we love that Tammy & Alek chose it to be a part of their pictures. Congratulations to the happy couple!
