Check out Sheen and Kevin’s awesome “Mad Men ” inspired engagement shoot in Brooklyn last Winter.
A little bit about Sheena and Kevin and how they planned their wedding day .
“We really wanted our wedding to feel intimate and reflect who we are as a couple. We picked West Sayville Country Club because it was small, had a vintage feel and felt like we were celebrating in someone’s grand dining room rather than a big ballroom. We are lovers of all things retro, think Mad Men, so we wanted our wedding to have a subtle retro feel. The bridesmaid dresses reminded me of 1960s secretary’s dresses and the girls dressed them up with pearls, some of which were my grandmothers from the 1960s! I thought the guys looked handsome and retro in their skinny ties! We included some retro candy in our candy buffet and I decided to go with the traditional jordan almond favors to stay with the theme… my bridesmaids and I made them… and the candy buffet bags! We kept the theme going by playing on 50s and 60s music during cocktail hour, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin during dinner and plenty of retro tunes mixed in throughout the evening. Kevin and I both come from Irish families, so instead of tables numbers we used counties in Ireland. We kept our place cards, table cards and center pieces simple since the room itself was so pretty… we didn’t want to upstage it with to much on the tables! We were so happy with the way everything came together! “
” We loved everything about our wedding day! If I have to choose, the best parts for me would have to be riding to the church in the vintage Rolls Royce with my parents and the moment I saw Kevin at the other end of the aisle! And, of course, that all the most important people in our lives were there to help us celebrate!”
On how they met :
“Kevin and I met through friends, his best man and one of my closest friends from college introduced us, or tried to at least. They tried setting us up; I refused. But, Kevin was persistent. After a month of saying no I finally agreed to a “friendly brunch.” That brunch turned into a 12 hour date! I’m glad I finally said yes to Kevin because now I couldn’t imagine life without him!”

PS we love the picture of you me and Kevin! Fun! We couldn’t have picked a better person to be our photographer!!
Stunning photos…really nice work. Love the one with the bride centered on the dance floor, with the fisheye distortion around the edges.
