From Alina ( The Bride) –
“For vendors we got really lucky. You of course Laura:), and Dinosaur BBQ was awesome for the party catering, everyone loved the lunch at Pera on Friday, Tarrytown Floral made my bouquet and Baha’s boutonniere I ordered the leis from direct from Honolulu, DJ Bobby from Carmel, NY was the bomb, and pretty much everything else was DIY or Costco. We really wanted to have a relaxed, fun wedding. We loved the idea of just having people over and doing a house party, but because we live in a one bedroom apartment we had to find a house. I’ve used AirBnb a bunch for traveling and had pretty good experiences so that was the first place we looked. We got lucky with Ruben’s house in Cold Spring, it was the right location and big enough for our families to all stay, and also had the right layout for a house party. We were so happy with it and it was such a nice space for gathering people together for the entire weekend.
I loved all the Central Park pictures! It was kind of exhausting walking around but really worth it for the memories! Baha and I are from different sides of the world and New York is exactly in the middle–so I really wanted to have a New York wedding. I loved all the action going on in the photos, from cabs to other people and the paintings, etc. It was wonderful. And we got so lucky with the weather both days! what a blessing! “
