So excited this morning as I woke up went to my front door to get my newspaper and found out that Newsday had created a story with one of my couples - Sara and Tim from last years wedding at the Allegria Hotel. This story has been two months in the making as Newsday called me back in March regarding using Sarah and Tim's photos for an article. What I did not know was that they made front cover photo!! Earlier in the summer I was contacted by Flashes of Hope, a volunteer a nonprofit organization that strives to use photography as a tool to change the way children with serious illnesses see themselves. Through the gift of photography - and raises money for pediatric cancer research.
