Christina and Josh – Alger House – NYC
VENDORS:
Flowers: Carolina Sterling/Sterling Blooms in lower Manhattan. She was perfect in every way.
DJ: ThePros.com. Ask for Shaun K…. Such a great guy.
Cake: A classic, old-school three-tier Italian Fruit Supreme cake from Veniero’s, an Italian bakery that’s been open for almost 100 years in lower Manhattan…. The bright colors and true-fruitcake look were amazing. And…. delizioso!!!
Christina’s Favorites from the Wedding —
“Katherine (Josh’s 8-year-old daughter, and now mine, too!) presented the rings (she was a flower girl, too!). After she gave us the rings, all three of us hugged: this was absolute, pure joy. Seeing her thrilled smile (and the overjoyed faces of Josh and my brother) throughout the ceremony were moments I will never, ever forget.”
Dress designer: Ivory lace by Marisa (purchased at Kleinfeld in Manhattan: incredible experience) Tux: Boss, Black Label
Bridesmaids: “The ladies wore satin jewel-toned pinks and purples- their own selections. To bring them together, each had a side-bun or side-ponytail, with matching necklaces and jeweled crystal hairpins (my gifts to them!).”
Flowergirls (3): “Dresses from MyGirl.com – they wore ivory simple dresses, with jewel-toned dark pink (for Katherine) and purple (for Maddie and Gennie, Josh’s nieces!) sashes.”
Jewelry: “I advise hitting up the no-name boutiques in the Fashion district…. Pretty amazing discounts to be had. “(though my light blue topaz bracelet was from Josh: my “something blue”…!)
How we met:
“We met on HowAboutWe.com. An amazing site for busy professionals; everything is activity-based, so no excessive emailing/other back-and-forth necessary. Two dates, and we were hooked.”
