I shot Cynthia and Bryan’s wedding ceremony at Old Westbury Gardens, an huge favorite of mine since I was a little girl. We did the reveal in the gardens, a fun photo session before the ceremony and then they were off to their wedding reception at a resturant after the ceremony
Ceremony Venue: Old Westbury Gardens
Photo Session : Around the Gardens
Some details and advice from the Bride :
“May 16th was beyond incredible, and that was in large part due to our amazing family and friends. They filled the air with so much happiness, love, excitement, and good vibes…I felt it was palpable! It’s a feeling that will stay with us forever (and one I wish we could relive every day).
I got the dress at David’s Bridal in Westbury. So many people told me I would “just know” the right dress the minute I tried it on, but I didn’t believe them. They ended up being right. I just fell in love with the fit and the way it poofed out the perfect amount. The sales rep I worked with was nice and helped make the experience rather pleasant. “
I got my shoes at DSW. I bought heels there a while ago that are so comfortable so I looked for weddingy shoes by the same brand. I was going for comfort since I’d be standing all day, and I totally nailed it! My feet never hurt and felt absolutely fine the next day. Shout out to the Katie & Kelly brand.
When I started looking for my attire for the day I had no clue what I wanted. Bryan on the other hand had more than a clue. I suspect he had been dreaming of his wedding for quite some time or at least longer than me. He wanted to wear a blue suit and brown shoes, and went straight to Zara for his suit. He likes the slim fit look and knew Zara would probably offer the best. He had the shoes before the wedding and also got them at DSW.
Special shout out to Danielle – who everyone thought was our friend. She made the ceremony so personal. “
On a side– I photographed Danielle’s wedding in 2012 she is now an an amazing and energizing officiant, I highly recommend her !
