So Kelly is my oldest and only close friend I still remain in contact with from my childhood.. We met when I came in as a awkard 11 year old coming from public to a private school. I was quiet, Kelly was talkative, actually she was one of only 22 children to have talked to me that first day in school. Those three years at St. James were errr memoriable, playing volleyball in the library, hiding during dodge ball, playing basketball and lets not forget those St. James dances with ” pump up the jam” as the signature song of the night. We would have 3 day sleepovers with my sister and play “war” by throwing “grenade” pillows at each other, lets not forget supermarket sweep in the basement of her Mom’s house. In High School we did grow apart, I went back to public and Kelly attended Catholic H.S. I became the stereotypical artsy angsty teenager and Kelly.. not sure I just know she just had a really good time. We reconnected after college and we still have good times including our house buying experience this year. I always like her pure honesty. I know we are just two different people that get along.. sort of a yin and yang.. I don’t know what I would do without her. Opposites attract I guess if you think of it in that sense.
We are both 31 now, that’s exactly 20 years of friendship.. insane..
Below our some photos of our adventures in the early 90s, maybe later on I will regret showing how I looked as a 13 year old but hey we all had those years.
Yeah can anyone say 90s hairstyles.. what were we thinking?
So when Kelly met Sean three years ago, I just loved him. My husband and I were so happy to be at their wedding. Kelly didn’t want the typical wedding, she a wanted a quiet small intimate wedding with 15 of her closest and we were more than happy to be apart of and of course photographing it. ( because Kelly.. LOL I wouldn’t let anyone else)
Awesome how they are just leaving their house straight to get married..
After the quick shoot we decided to that dance we do in photos..
Keith and I after wedding day brunch … mmm
Thank you so much. I am glad you were there to help me celebrate my special day. I could not have imagined my day without you there. You are my bff. <3
